Join us for the Orinda 4th of July Parade!
Calling all musicians! Come join us and be part of a very unique "pick-up" marching band. Appropriate for anyone with 2 years of experience with their band instrument regardless of age. We have students, seniors, and everyone in between. Come by the store and pick up the music (Sousa and patriotic songs).
Click here for the "roadmap" on each song - where we start, where we end, etc.
Details:
8:30 AM - percussion meets in the parking lot next to 89 Davis Rd in Orinda (next to Mash Gas & Food - was the Flying A Gas Station) for practice. Contact the store if you need to borrow a drum.
9 AM - all other instruments meet for music playthrough
10 AM - we march!
We will end by the Orinda Library before noon - it is an easy walk back to the starting point
Wear blue pants/shorts and white shirt or something patriotic. For more information on the parade, check out the Orinda Association website.
We have recently added the Coast Guard song, Semper Paratus to the lineup, to be played in front of the Reviewing Stand at the end of the parade after the other four songs honoring the different branches of the armed services. We will bring copies to the parade, but if you want to get yours early, click below:
We are OPEN Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM-6 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM-5 PM.
